hi, it is CAROTENE in the carrots and also in other fruits with colors about orange and yellow which helps eye sight.

Vitamin A. But too much Vitamin A, just like iron, can be toxic, so yeah, stick to carrots if you want the Vitamin A instead of taking it in pill form.
