Yes, wearing glasses all the time makes eyesight worse.

Our eyes do not get worse themselves. Our eyes get worse for a reason. It has nothing to do with genetic, heredity, growing up and all those "junk" made up by the optometry school (optical industry) as a cover-up. $$$$

One of the reasons that cause our eyes to get worse and worse, (especially in children, teenagers and young adults) is wearing prescription glasses all the time.

Take a look:at the graph (How Myopia Progresses) here:

Nearsightedness will NOT get worse IF treated properly.

Eye glasses (for nearsighted people) need a prescription because it is harmful, destructive and have side effects.

I am not a salesman. I have nothing to sell you. I enjoy helping people see better. I help people on the internet through emails for free.

When you go to the eye doc and get glasses they are supposed to make you see better.
As you age your eyes may get worse or better depending on what is going on in your body.
The glasses do not make your eyes get worse or better, they do that themself.

Glasses make your vision near perfect, so when you take them off, nautral vision appears worse. Your brain has just grown accustomed to good vision that your normal vision seems blurrier, but its not. I asked my opthamologist this :) Over time, however, your normal vision will digress depending on what type of condition you have. Like if you have myopia, you're just going to gradually get more and more myopic... get lasik :)

your optometrist is your best ally. Don't rely on yahoo answers to help you keep your eyesight. This is way to big an issue..loose your eyesight...be blind..no way!! Be as
pro ~active on this as you can be... Get information from Doctors who know what they are talking about. Your age may play into this....but you are still messing around when you should be getting professional advice! good luck...?

no never heard of that
