Eye problems...i have been to two eye doctors they say my vision is fine but....!

Question: almost two years ago now i got a bunch of "floaters" there are some typical shadowlike dots and strings but then some of them only show up as blurred strings that swirl by when i am under bright flourecent, if i look up at flourecent lights it makes me squint because it hurts my eyes and its hard to focus because so much is floating around.
every afternoon /even my eyes hurt to some degree or another, driving at night can make me literally sick to my stomach because headlights and streetlights are piercing to my eyes , it makes them hurt sort of the sane as if i was to wear someones perscription glasses and try to read with them. i cant stand to be in grocery stores or anywehere where there is flourecent lighting or bright halogen lighting when my eyes are like that which is pretty much every night.
the strange thing is i rarely have trouble in the daytime, my eyes do just fine most of the time but by 5 or 6 pm they start in with the same thing.
where would i get answers for this?

It's hard to tell from your description what is bothering you. Most everyone has floaters. Some people have a LOT of floaters. There's a condition called Asteroid Hyalosis where calcium salts accumulate in the vitreous. These flakes look a lot like snow, or if yellow, look like specks of gold and there can be thousands of them.

But to have glare problems is another problem. Glare which is a blinding brightness comes from light scatter from either the cornea such as a corneal dystrophy, or from certain types of cataracts such as posterior subcapsular cataracts which occur secondary to a number of conditions. Included are any inflammatory eye condition, steroid use, trauma. etc.

If the floaters bother you so much that you're ready to jump off the bridge, you can have a vitrectomy. A vitrectomy for this problem doesn't take very long, and it clears everything up fairly nicely. The complications would include a cataract which is easy enough to 'fix', or a retinal tear or detachment, infection, etc. Most people do really well after this type of surgery.

See a retina specialist and explain the symptoms. These guys are used to looking at the vitreous much more than general ophthalmologists or optometrists. As they're the ones who do this type of surgery and handle the complications, they have a little different view of those problems.

my first question is: are you having a migraine??
Because in migraine these are the common symptoms.

apart from this, the other diseases that might be possible are cataract, corneal edema, corneal opacity, glaucoma.

Do some research on Irlen Syndrome. My daughter has it and there are many different symptoms to it. I was worried that it was some "fad" diagnosis and really didn't want to pay for the testing but I am so glad that I did. She too went to doctors for treatment and no one could find anything wrong with her. I will not say that is what this is and if you ask some doctors they will tell you that it is not real but my daughter and many others are living proof that it does exist. It is worth looking into.
