It is a test your Optometrist Doctor gives you. It doesn't hurt. You look into a machine and different lights and things flash and move. It helps the doctor determine if you need corrective lenses. It won't hurt a bit!!! The one to watch out for is when they blow the air into your eyes and when they have to dialate your eyes!!!

OPD is the name of an instrument used to examine your eyes. It gives the doctor information about things that can cause blurred vision other than nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. It is painless and quick. Nothing touches your eye, you simply look into the instrument and some flashing lights take the readings. Don't worry about it!

well i don't know anything about eyes but at our hospital
opd means ...out-patients department :)
