How long do your soft contacts usually last before you need to change them?!

Question: I have Acuve Oasys soft contacts, and I usually need to change them before the 2-week "deadline." Does anyone else experience this?

I have Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism...they say to replace them every 2-3 weeks as well. I'm sure it's so you keep buying them. Mine are usually fine for 3-4 months. Around the 3 month mark they start to get dry...and I notice that I'm blinking a lot. That's when I toss them and go to the next pair.

I have the same, and its 2 weeks.
sometimes i forget about it and wear them for like 3 1/2 weeks,
& nothing bad has happened.

Everyone is different. Some people can actually wear this lens for up to a month. If you are needing to change more often then 2 weeks, you should talk to your doc about switching to a daily lens or finding out exactly what it is that is causing such a quick buildup of deposits.

I've got colored soft contacts that are supposed to last a month and be worn during the day time only. But I've found that I can wear one pair at ALL times (sleep in them) with no problems for up to 2 months so long as I take a 3-5 day break somehwere in the middle when I'll just wear my regular glasses. Hope that helps!

The Fire Drake is the perfect example of extreme abuse....

Until the time comes that he has corneal ulcers develop,or worse... and maybe never be able to wear lenses again.

And that time will come...sooner or later, it will come.
