Wil my eyes get worse if i don't?!

Question: i got 2 glasses back in 2006 and i still wear them today.
i think this is bad because i know my eyes have gotten either better or worse(most of the time i can't see the white board in school.)
i don't know any medical info but my subscription is like a lot of magnification.right now i am not wearing glasses as a example..i can make out the keyboard but the screen on my laptop i can not make out is in front of me.I think my eyes got worse because for 2 years my dad always said "i am gonna get u glasses"
but now i am threatening my dad that my graduation presents will cost more than the desktop and laptop combined(i think thats like $1,000).
and is there a option to get white frames with transition lenses?

plz help.thank u!

It is very common at your age for the eyes to change a lot in a short period. You are still growing.

It really has nothing to do with whether you wear your glasses or not. Glasses only help you see better when you have them on. They can't change the shape of your eyes.

It sure sounds like you are due for another exam though.

As for the last part of your question, you can get Transitions in any frame you like.

For some people glasses seem to make the problem worse. Me I didn't wear mine for years and I am not blind yet. I think it is best left up to the individual patient using common sense what is best for their health.

I asked that question here and everyone said the answer is 'no'. I think not wearing glasses when they would help or wearing old glasses means you get more eye strain which is uncomfortable. I think having an up to date prescription in your glasses will always make it more comfortable to see.
