Are contacts worth it if I wear glasses 24/7?!

Question: Are contacts worth it if I wear glasses 24/7?
I'm thinking of getting contacts, but I wear glasses almost 24/7. I heard that contacts require a lot of work to take care of and I'm ready for that. But I just wanted to know if contacts get worn out and if I'll have to buy them repeatedly, because contacts are expensive and if I have to wear them all the time then I think it's better just to keep wearing glasses. And about how much would I need to spend to take care of my contacts if I do decide to get them?

Contacts don't require all that much work.

My last pair of glasses cost like 300ish dollars. and my year pack of contacts also costs 300ish bucks.

If you choose to get contacts you'll be given dailies, one week ones, two week ones, monthlies- one of those. Some of those you can sleep in- some of those you can't. But yes they do wear out if you wear two week contacts and you stretch them to 4 week contacts you will notice a difference in the quality of your vision.

When you buy contacts you will also want to have a pair of glasses to wear as backup. You will find that many times, such as at night, you might want to take your contacts out to let your eyes breathe, so it will be necessary to have your glasses around if you want to see well. Contacts aren't terribly expensive. After getting your prescription, try using a site like 1-800-contacts to buy a year's supply - they usually come at a discount price when you buy in bulk like that. Daily disposables are more expensive, but nice if you want to go without contacts on certain days. If you are planning on wearing contacts 24/7 you will need to find a brand that is approved for sleep wear. Maintenance costs aren't too much. You can usually get cases for free in samples, and you will only have to pay for solution. I recommend spending a little extra on a name brand solution, like opti-free, because their formulas are more regulated than the generic ones from Walgreens or CVS. A bottle might cost around 10 dollars, and again you can get it cheaper if you buy in bulk.

Conventional soft lenses and RGP lenses last between 12 months and 2 years, they require more costly solutions and cleaning supplies but the initial outlay is less than a years worth of disposable lenses.

Disposable lenses can be used either once (then thrown out), weeklys 2 weeklys or monthlys can be cleaned multi purpose disinfiecting solutions
