Do you need a case for colored contacts?!


Question: Do you need a case for colored contacts?
I just got colored contacts but I don't have a case for it, I do have solution so can I put them in a little bowl and fill it up with solution and put the contacts there?

You're better off using a new disposable plastic cup. It's less unsanitary than a previously used bowl. With that said, you really need to use a proper contact lens case unless you want to go blind from an eye infection.



Yes, you can use a bowl, cup, other small clean (probably disinfected) container as an emergency measure. Be sure the lens is covered. Otherwise the lens will shrivel up as it dries out. I don't think they can be totally rehydrated.

Get a case ASAP, though. They are cheap -- $2. or less.



that will give you a risk of infection. But from the sound of this you haven't had these lenses fitted so you are risking your eyesight anyway. Lenses even if you just have them for the colour have to be fitted. If they aren't then they can damage your eyes. Please look at the loads of answers about this on yahoo including some of the stories from opticians and people who have had their eyesight damaged and reconsider using these contacts.
