Do you have Transitions eyeglass and do you like them?!

FYI: Transitions lenses are activated by UV light. Windshields in your vehicle have a UV coating and do not allow UV light to reach your lenses. Therefore, they do not work in your vehicle.

I'm an optician

I had transitions at one point and I really disliked them. Now opticians say that they don't change colour indoors. I didn't find that to be the case and i suspect that most glass doesn't stop UV rays completely. Certainly Ican sunburn through a window in very hot sunshine. What I found is that they were never the right degree of darkness for me. They didn't work well in front of computer screens, were heavier than the ultra lightweights i was used to ( they may have fixed that now) adn they weren't helpful with glare even when at their darkest. I have a friedn however who finds them wonderful and wouldn't be without them. Unfortunately you can't tell if they are for you without risking the money and its an expensive mistake.
