I've worn contacts for 40 years and not damaged my eyes taking them in and putting htem out. Yes you can occasionally be clumsy and get a scratch , but you won't get long term damage. You do have to be careful to follow the rules ot avoid damage due to oxygen deprivation and infection.

I have seen some things about wearing contacts thinning the cornea and making it more difficult to have surgery. I don't know anything aobut this or if it is true at all.

only if you leave them on for too long, and sleep with them and stuff. If you have disposables, and you use the same ones over and over, that's bad.

nope, it doesn't hurt at all. they just get uncomfortable when they get old, but that just means it's time to throw them out and put in a new pair ! usually happens every 2 weeks

No but they can dry your eyes f worn for to long, it really depends on how long you wear them for each day.

Haven't hurt me so far...but it is just like anything else in life , everything can hurt ya
