I'd definitely recommend it. You said your motivation was saving time and that is definitely a benefit of ordering online too, And you just enter your prescription from your doc and that's it. I've not had one problem ordering my contacts online.

I also order from Lens.com, and it's really easy and convenient. You'll need a valid prescription which can be sent to the website via email (or I think you can have your doctor fax it over...). I heard someone once say that you shouldn't order online because you never know if the stuff they send you is expired or defective, but this is not true. I get the same thing I would get from my doctor's office, except at half price and its sent to my doorstep. Just make sure you buy from a reputable website and you should be fine.
