If I'm legally blind at 14 will I be totally blind later?!

Question: If I'm legally blind at 14 will I be totally blind later?
I'm 14 and i'm considered legally blind. I'm almost totally blind in my left eye and legally blind in my right eye without glasses. Plus my eyes are crossed.

My vision gets worse every year and I'm afraid I'll eventually be totally blind at this rate. Does this ever happen?

You are considered legally blind by who ?

You can't be legally blind " without glasses "

If you can't see any better than 20/200 WITH the best possible correction ( glasses or contacts ) ON , then you may qualify as legally blind. How bad the vision is without glasses makes no difference.

You must be seeing quite well with your glasses to be using the computer , so there is nothing to be worried about. Blindness happens from disease or trauma....not from needing a strong prescription.

That kind of blind means that if you can't see out of glasses, everything is still blurry even when wearing glasses, that's the only way you could be considered blind.

I'm legally blind as well, but it really depends on what is causing your vision problems. I would definitely ask your doctor about this. I'm 15 and my eyesight JUST started to stabilize.

it is possible but with the way medicine is there may be something that could be done about it.
