Why do I need to put a new set of contacts into my eyes everyone month?!

Question: Why do I need to put a new set of contacts into my eyes everyone month?
I have soft lens...when I started getting contacts, I weren't used to them and they fell out a lot, so I had to get a new set because I couldn't find them. I would like to continue wearing them for more then a month since now I'm used to them more and I can save my other contacts lens.

What changes in the lens that doesn't allow me to use them anymore?

If they are monthly lenses , they were designed and engineered to last about 300 hours of wearing time , which is 30 days @ 10 hours a day before a noticeable drop in oxygen transmission starts happening.

What happens is that the matrix of the lens ( like pores of the lens) get plugged up with protein and calcium from your eyes, no matter how well they are cleaned, and then they don't allow a safe amount of oxygen to get through to your cornea anymore , which is not a good thing...your cornea needs oxygen to stay healthy.

If you want your eyes to stay healthy and be able to wear contacts for a long time, follow the rules. They are there for a reason.
