Question: How many ppl have this prescription? general question..?
General question..Was wondering if anyone knows what percentage of the population have a prescription greater than -6 (for shortsightedness)?
I am greater than -7, very shortsighted, my optometrist told me this was very common. Is it? i dont know lots of ppl (aside from my father and a work colleaguethat that have this prescription) I know many ppl with glases and they are mostly -2 to -5. Just curious..

I do not know exact numbers, but most people who are nearsighted myself included are between -.5 and -3.00. I am at the lower end with the -.5, for my right eye and plano -1.75 axis 40 for the left.
My boss is around has -6.25 and I have a cousin who is at -8.00. There are lots of people with the higher prescription but there is a higher percentage of people with lower prescriptions.
