Question: Hello, contact lenses help! PLEASE 10 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER!!?
Hello everyone, so my situation is, I have a Twin and his glasses broke and he has nothing to wear for the time being this week in school. Is it okay if he wears my contact lenses? I will be giving him fresh new ones right out of the case, and we pretty much have the same visions. Anything bad or okay that we should know?!?!?

I wouldn't say it's a great thing to do, but I wore my sister's contacts when my glasses broke, and I wore the contacts for like five months.
I got headaches for a while, and it took a while to get used to, but I think it would be all right for a little while. :)
Hope I helped!
XOXO

It will be fine as long as they're fresh contacts, not ones you've already worn!
He should test out the contacts for a couple of hours and see how they feel.

I wear glasses, but sometimes when i go out i prefer to wear daily contacts.
But because i have astigmatism, i cant get daily contacts with my exact prescription.
My vision is better with contacts, but still slightly blurry.
My optician told me that some people can wear contacts that arent exactly right, but some people find them uncomfortable.

Unfortunately it's not that simple. Most likely you do not have the same exact prescription, and even if it's off just by a little that can cause harm. It could cause your brother to have a headache or feel nauseous if it's too strong or not strong enough. Also, contacts are usually shaped to fit your eye, not his. If that really is your only option, call the optometrist to see what they think. They can also give your brother trial contacts for his prescription and eyes in the mean time while they order him glasses.

Depending on where you live, Contact Lenses are a RESTRICTED item. That is they must be treated the same way as Prescription Drugs. Now, do you ever (consider) giving your prescribed drugs to another person to use?

If you give your CL's to your Twin, you are breaking the law. Simple as that.

Now I'm guessing that both you and your twin have the same eye doctor?.. Ring them up, ask them if your twin uses identical lenses to yours, and if yes... your twin can use yours (with your eye doctor's knowledge) temporarily, until he/she can get his/her own supply.

Dear Dylan,

Contact lenses are a prescribed medical device. Even though your sibling is a twin, it doesn’t mean that your eyes are the same. Your family member could have a reaction to the lenses or even the solution that you use to clean the lenses. We recommend that your sibling seek the advice of an eye care professional.

I have glasses and contact lenses and I am pretty sure if you have the exact same vision or close then it will be okay. Although this is not really recommendable, if it is just for a short period of time then you will be all right without consulting an eye doctor.

For a week there is no problem
I used to do it all the time as me and my mum had the same vision as long as there new lenses and it's just a couple of weeks you no if they are not for you if you get a headache that's all that can go wrong

no he will be fine
he might not be able to see as well but it wont damaged his eyesight or anything if your only going to be wearing them for a week or so
just keep them clean and if he has any problems like headaches while wearing them just make sure he takes them out and lets his eyes rest beofre putting them in again
good luck

he might get dizzy from the sudden change in vision and especially true if the contacts are even slightly stronger or not from his glasses but nothing bad will happen other than being light headed for a bit.

Let him try the contact on and see if it adjust to his vision well, if not then he shouldn't wear them.

As long as they're new ones, then he can wear em'.
