there really aren't too many disadvantages to contacts. now, with recent advancements, they don't even feel as if they are there. the only real "disadvantage" would be if you rub them, they could move out of place and hurt. But, if that happens, you just take them out

glasses:

advantages: you don't have to worry about cleaning them and all that anti-bacterial stuff as much

disadvantages: you can't play contact sports when wearing them
they can break easily

contacts:

advantages: you can play contact sports
they're great if you don't like the look of wearing glasses
they blend with your eye if you get the clear ones, or you can get colored ones

disadvantages: they can rip if you are not careful
you can't swim with them on or anything like that
you need to be very careful about cleaning them and disinfecting your hands
before putting them on

I have contacts and wear them 95% of the time. You should know that they take a few days to get used to, but after that they are not bothersome. I like them, but I do keep my glasses spare in case I need them or in case I lose my contacts in an emergency and need to see

I have glasses and contacts

I love my contacts sooooo much more than my glasses...I wear Acuvue Advance, and can hardly tell when they r in...I don't have to worry about wear I may have laid down my glasses...the only disadvantage to contacts is the cleaning...I say look into ones that r extended wear meaning u can keep them in for a long period of time.
