Question: Is it normal to see rays of light from lights photo inc.?

This is normal... It's due to a PHYSICS phenonmenon called DIFRACTION.
When light (say from a round spot light) goes through a very narrow slit, it bends around the 2 edges of the slit to form a line.
Now if light goes through grid lines (say like your window fly/security screen), then the light bends around all the 4 edges to form this 'plus' or 'cross' pattern.
Now the front layer of your eye, called the cornea, has a middle layer called the STROMA which is made up of very fine collagen fibres arranged in a gridlike pattern. And it's this grid pattern that 'scatters' lights to give you these 'rays' of lights.
I have the same thing so ill be looming at the answers...
