Not sure if there is a "minimum age" it may be different depending on the doctor. Typically though it would be in your early twenties once you stop growing and the eyes aren't changing as frequently.
As far as I know, there is not a minimum age, the things is the illness you have. I've seen kids have has surgeries, too.
