eye glasses prescription: what is sph +400?!

Question: Eye glasses prescription: what is sph +400?
Hi, I just got a prescription for new glasses. It reads:
right eye: sph +400, cyl +0.50
left eye: sph -0.75, cyl +0.50
I can understand what the sph -0.75 is for my left eye. But what about the +400 for my right eye. This is not +4.00, it is four hundred (400). What does this mean exactly? isnt this hilariously high?

Answers:

It is + 4.00...they just didn't write the decimal , because we know it has to be there anyway.

It's impossible for it to be anything else except + 4.00

In some countries, they do the prescriptions in hundredths of a diopter, so you might see numbers like 400, but in your case, all the other numbers have decimals, so it is obvious it was supposed to be +4.00.

Also, the axis numbers (for the CYL part) are missing, if you are trying to order glasses on-line, call or stop by and confirm the numbers before ordering.

It is an incomplete prescription.
