Question: I have an eye infection and am being treated with antibiotic eyedrops. How can I help my sensitivity to light?
My eyes are soooo sensitive to light. It's hard to watch TV and I have my brightness on my laptop super low and am half closing my eyes...

Although the infection is probably related to the light sensitivity, the cause of the sensitivity is not treated with the drops. The sensitivity comes from the muscle in the iris of the eye, the iris is sore and when the light hits the eye the iris closes causing pain. This is treated by dilating the eye with dilating drops. Steroids may be indicated. You should see your doctor ASAP. Until then, wear sunglasses.

Wear sunglasses and avoid bright lights for a while.
