I just went for a contact lens fitting and the dr gave me the SAME prescription as my glasses, didnt even check or anything!! He just gave me a pair of contacts and asked me to blink a couple of times and that was it!!

Was your glasses prescription recent ? If so , there was no need for another exam. The contacts prescription is based on the glasses prescription...that's how it works.
Don't worry about it being the same prescription , very often it is the same as glasses if you have just a simple Sphere correction with no astigmatism , under - 4.00 , it will be the same.
Do you see well with them ?
