eye discharge for a few years?!

for about 3 years i have had stringy clear discharge coming out of my eye. it will sometimes get so swolen it looks like im asian in one eye. both my eyes make discharge everyday like all day. but for the past couple weeks the discharge has been a purplish color. i have no idea whats wrong with my eyes. please help. im thinking i have a blocked eye duct or something. heelllppp!
