Question: Does walmart need to see an insurance card when buying contacts?
i need to get a new box of contacts(same percription) from walmart and i need to know if they need to see my insurance card. also, i will be at a different walmart from my local one, so does it matter when purchasing them?

They would only need to see an insurance card if the insurance were going to be billed to pay for the contacts. As far as getting them from a different store- that depends on if they have access to the original prescription. If they do not, then they won't be able to sell them to you. Contacts are like medications in that respect. You must have a current prescription on file to purchase them.

is the insurance going to pay for it ? if so then yes of course...if youre going to a different walmart then you will need to bring your prescription..also is your prescription up to date ? no walmart will sell contacts without an up to date prescription from your eye doctor
