Do the prices of the same brand of contact lenses vary depending if you have ins!

Question: Do the prices of the same brand of contact lenses vary depending if you have insurance or not?
I went to AccuVision to order some contact lenses and they said I only had a $150 allowance that my insurance was gonna cover for the year. so for four boxes it cost total $250 minus the $150 my insurance covers I had to pay $100 out of pocket. But then I compared the prices online for the same brand and it cost $150 for the same four boxes without insurance. So I asked the lady from AccuVision why were they $250 there if online they are $150 and she said oh its cuz the prices go up if you have insurance. That seems odd, is that true?

It seems to be true many times , in many places...but it is still dishonest.

There is no reason the price should be higher because of insurance. That is just greed and pure extra profit in their pockets.

Their wholesale cost is the same , so it shouldn't have any effect on the price.
