I've been debating what to do...?!

Question: I've been debating what to do...?
Friends have been telling me for a while that my eyesight has been deteriorating, and I've noticed somewhat too. I have trouble seeing words and making out objects from medium-to-far distance. When it's darker, my trouble seeing increases a little bit. I want to do something about it because it is starting to get on my nerves (having trouble making things out at school). The problem is, I don't feel comfortable discussing this kind of topic with my parents. It's extremely difficult to explain. Secondly, I debating on whether or not my vision is actually bad. I have some trouble seeing things, as I said, in medium-to-far distance. I wonder though, if maybe it's my own illusion. I've thought that maybe it was all just in my head. Well, there it is. Please, help me answer these questions.

if you're having trouble seeing things, that's a problem. I know you're nervous about it, but you really need to talk with your parents. I know you might not be able to explain it well, but chances are they'll understand that you just want to get it checked. An optomologist will be able to figure out what's going on with your eyes.

go to the school nurse and have someone else bring it up to your parents- like they are the only ones who can fund serious help if you need it.
The school nurse should be able to determine wether you need help or not, just tell her that you feel nervous telling your parents.
