It means that there is no preservative agent in your solution.
Actually, yes. There are. But they are only efficient when the bottle is not opened. Once you open it, bacterias will be able to get in the bottle and grow in there. After a while, usually after one to three months, these agents can't control the bacteria production and you should discard your bottle to avoid getting an eye infection.
Well there's not much to get. But if you don't use all the solution before 3 months, the manufacturer is telling you to throw it out because it may not be able to be preserved or sterile or safe.
It means, once you have open it, it only lasts for 3 months. Im not sure why but for my contacts solution, it doesn't say anything. I use opticare Multimate btw~
