Why do my eyes feel irritated AFTER I wear my contacts?!

Question: Why do my eyes feel irritated AFTER I wear my contacts?
Sometimes my eyes get irritated or dry and feel like there is something in them after I take my contacts out. For example I wore contacts for one week straight and my eyes were fine, but then today I wore my glasses and my eyes started bothering me. Why is this happening? I use Acuvue Oasys by the way.

Answers:

When you take out your contacts, wash your eyes out with some saline. It will get rid of anything trpped in there and moisten your eyes. It could also have to do with the air irritating your eyes. If you have your contacts in a lot and your eyes can't "breathe" then when they're open to the air it might bother them a little bit.

For me, when I take my contacts out, they often feel itchy or irritated, but they aren't normally dry. It's probably because things like dust get trapped under your contacts while you're wearing them and they stay there after. Eye drops should solve dryness. I get my eyedrops from Walmart usually, and the ones I have you can put it with your contacts. Just make sure you use fresh solution in your contact case when you put your contacts back. Hope this helps! :)

you need to have eye drops in hand, eventually the contacts get dry and irritate your eyes
