About my period?!

Question: I have my period, and had it for a while now. When you get the stoamch cramps, I usually take Motrin, but that doesn't help at all. Can anyone suggest on what I can use that will kill the pain? Thanx

Midol, and also Raspberry tablets! These helped my sister tremendously, she had horrible cramps and long periods. These are available with the vitamins/supplements/herbs like at Rite Aid or Wal Mart. Hope you feel better soon! Oh, yeah, and a heating pad hold it on your stomach, hips, wherever you feel pain, it will work to ease it. I also use a heating pad on my face when I have a toothache! It works wonders!

call a doctor?

omg Pamprin all purpose takes AAAALLLL da pain away even the period headaches its a miracle wrker

Birth Control.

well i always use either
asprin or ibuprofen .. it
doesn t take the pain away
completely but it helps alot
so its just a lil cramping

Midol, made especially for cramps, aches, bloatation, etc.

lay down watch a movie or dvd and relax! eat bananas and use a hot water bottle or heat pack and place it on your abdomen.

pamprin had worked for me, as well as a hot compress in the abdominal area.

Deal with it. That's what I do. If it's really bad I curl up in a ball and lay down for a while.

the shot stops periods altogether

no but the best thing to do is to watch what you eat the week before your period. Don't go heavy on the junk food!!!=)

i usually just
ya know
deal with it.
i heard that bananas help though.

I have pretty serious cramps, but found that over-the-counter pain medications never worked for me. I talked to my doctor about it and got a prescription medication that works great. It's called Ponstel.

I would try different pain medications, but if none work, talk to your doctor and find out what other options you have.

Try a heating pad for about 15 minutes. Go for a walk, sometimes the exercise helps

Take meds specially for cramps, and if that doesn't work you may need prescription strength.

definetely do exercise. yoga really helps and drink water and eat veggies! you'll see the difference immediatly

take a nice warm bath and stay in the bath tub for about 15 mins. keep pouring warm water on your stomach it helped for me

Co-codemol (Codeine + Paracetomol) always works great as a painkiller for cramps -- but if its a real pain (ha ha) go to your doctors where they might put you on the Pill, which helps to regulate your hormones and stops your cramps from taking hold too strongly.
Also, gentle excersise helps-- as well as slobbing out in front of the TV in your PJs with a hot water bottle and a bar of chocolate..

ibeprophen it works very well. I am a guy but my sister takes it and she feels so much better like 15 minuites after
