Overwhelmed at work?!


Question: I love my job, it is high pace and I am a very hyper person and wouldn't want a slow count the minutes type position. HOWEVER; I am consumed by it, I feel so stressed and end up lying in bed at night thinking about what I have to do the next day, does anyone have any techniques to de-stress at work? Keep in mind I can't get up and walk around (wish I could), but I need to do something because I am ready to pull my hair out.

I listen to VERY relaxing music while at work. It makes you slow down. Deepak Chopra, Guided Hypnosis, Natural sounds, Native American Music, even Joel Osteen. I turn my iPod on and put one earbud in so I can listen on the phone with my other ear. Breathing helps. If you have 5 minutes, spend the whole 5 minutes taking deep breaths in through your nose, and out of your mouth. Notice them. Count them. Helps circulation in the brain and is relaxing. Seems strange, I know. The music is different to me too, I used toonly listen to Hip Hop and other mainstream artists, but this worked.
