For the last two months I feel like I still have to pee a little even after I go!

Question: Yet another weird question, I know. But for the last couple months, every time I pee, I still feel like I have to pee a little. I don't feel completely empty. Yet, when I sit on the toilet tensing my muscle trying to force the pee out, I get barely a drop.

I've had a UTI before and it wasn't like that. When I had UTI I had to pee every ten minutes and a lot would come out each time. I had have severe, knife like pain. So what's going on?

You may be having urethral spasms. When the urethra is irritated, it may spasm in an effort to rid itself of the irritant, and you feel a strong urge to urinate. This is sometimes called "urethral syndrome".

What can irritate the urethra? A urinary tract infection, of course. STDs. Bubble baths. Tight jeans. Thong underwear. Even some types of foods!

These are rather technical, but very very good articles on urethral syndrome: http://www.emedicine.com/MED/topic3081.h...

If your physician has ruled out a urinary tract infection (please see him/her before you decide you don't have a UTI, because maybe you do!), you may want to consider taking a urinary tract antiseptic such as AZO http://www.azoproducts.com/. It "numbs" your urethra so you cannot feel the spasms, but it does turn your urine orange or purple.

I had that too, twice. The first time I passed a kidney stone. The second time I had a fibrous tumor that was unfortunately adhered to my bladder. (Found during routine PAP) Had to have a Hysterectomy.

perhaps something is causing pressure on the bladder giving the false impression that you have to pee even thogh you don't. also this could be the start of a mild UTI. you may also have developed a problem with your urinary sphincter which is causing you to have the sensation of having to pee even when there is no urine to be excreted.

in any case you should talk to a doctor.

its a UTI !!!! go see a doctor ASAP.

see my question its exactly the same. some ppl say kidneys. or cystis (sp??)
