Has anyone gotten a stomach ache as a side affect of the Nuvaring?!

Question: It seems to me that since I started useing the Nuvaring 3 months ago that after I take it out to have my period I have horrible stomach aches all day and night where I have a constant pain in my belly and anything like food, water, milk, 7up makes the pain worse. It eventually goes away after my period. Could it be linked to the ring or it is more likely something else?

I'm starting my third cycle on the Nuvaring, so I've had two periods while on it, and I haven't noticed any stomach problems at all. It doesn't seem like the Nuvaring should cause digestive problems, since, unlike the pill, it bypasses the digestive system, but on the other hand hormones can affect a lot more than you'd think. I suggest you ask your doctor or gynecologist.

if it only happens when you take it out to have your period... just keep it in for the 4th week so you dont have one it works for four weeks at a time...... thats what im doing.... but if your still worried then ask a dr.
