yes i had it for about 18 months, i gained weight, my hormones were way out of balance and i was just not myself at all, however appart from the occasional time my periods stopped.
i had it changed for a copper coil, but i basically bled out for three months, i had that removed too.

I had it for five years and would have it again in a flash if I needed it. The reduction in my monthlies as well as freedom from pills etc was amazing. I never experienced weight gain at all.
I have and love it. I have had it for about 17 months. No weight gain...........no more heavy painful periods.......or PMS. I wish I had gotten it sooner.
I've lost weight not gained since having mine fitted 3 years ago. And i agree with the other comments, i've never looked back and will defo get another.
I had a mirena coil fitted about 8 months ago and i have put on some weight which I am finding very hard to lose!!
