Has anyone had a lump in groin area?!

Question: It happened before about 2 years ago when I wasn't even sexually active in the exact same spot: right there on the left where the crease is where the underwear lays. I remember telling my mom about it and she told me to just wait and c if it went away, and it did. I do shave there as well, but I haven't shaved in about a week so I don't know if it's an ingrown hair or not. I heard lymph nodes look like strings though. But not mine. it's just swollen, it doesn't look like strings with balls in them. It is a little sore only when i push on it otherwise you cant see or feel it. I have a fiance now, so I am sexually active and just got off an antibiotic for bv a couple of weeks ago and I think that rephresh stuff gave me a friggin yeast infection so I discontinued it. It was either that or the antibiotic. But it's clearing up now. But I had this b4 two years ago when I was still a virgin. I heard this happens to a lot of women and men from shaving, but why?? My fiance and I r clean

nothing to worry about hun, i've had one of them before - it's just an ingrown hair.

if you pop it gently, you'll let out the puss or whatever fluid is inside to reduce the pressure that's built up. to clean it just use a q-tip that's been dipped in hydrogen peroxide, and just dab it on the area and inside if possible. if you can't pop it, most doctors will just tell you to use a sterilized blade to make a little incision on the top, allow the fluid inside to come out and then clean it with the peroxide....or they'll do it themselves during a doctor's visit.

The reason why this happens to women, and men - is because when you're using a razor the blades tend to be angled slightly, so when you're shaving - you're actually cutting the hairs at an angle. sometimes the newly growing hair will get caught underneath the skin because of the angle it was cut at and it can't break through. the area will become inflamed and could build up with blood, a watery fluid or puss.

If it concerns you, then just go to the doctor.
