Please go and talk about this with a doctor - we on YA are not qualified to know. I feel concerned that you are in pain, and think this should be checked out.

I hope that you have a good doctor that you feel OK about going to see, but if not, its your right to change your doctor and find a good one.

There is probably nothing wrong, but its ablways a good idea to check with a professional. You shouldn't have to be in pain.

Hope you resolve this soon and sending best wishes x

Go and see the doctor,-NOW

I have an I.U.D. so I am supposed to have more heavy and frequent periods, but I haven't had one since September. Sometimes you just don't get one. I would suggest trying out a birth control pill to help regulate your period. Then you will know when it is supposed to be there every month. Girls have periods every 28 days, not once a month, so it may not always be on the first of the month or whatever day you usually get it. If it worries you too much, get a pregnancy test at the dollar store. No matter how careful you are, you can still get pregnant. Nothing is completely effective!

The later you are, the worse the pain could mean that the more build up you have down there, so there's more blood to lose??

I have never had regular periods EVER since first getting them at the age of 12. My sister doesn't have regular periods either.

On average, I get them once every two or three months, and they are always very heavy, last for at least a week, sometimes more, and have bad pain especially at the start.

I've been mostly a consistant weight my whole teen - adult life and eat pretty healthily, but eat junk food too. So at least for me, the food thing doesn't have anything to do with it.

I've seen a doctor about it, and she said that if that's my pattern of irregular periods, then that's just my pattern. Lucky at least, I know someone who gets her periods twice a month, has done always. That's her pattern, and it sucks!

It could be a change, some people's patterns do change at a certain age, I've heard too. (Like teen to adult or something)

Best thing to do is go see your doctor asap and always record when you get ur periods and for how long. If you ever have any problems down there, you will need this info for ur doctor.

But do get it checked out, please. You really might be pregnant still, even if you were the most careful person in the world, there's still a chance.

go to your doctors asap. it's better to be safe then sorry.
good luck. i hope it's nothing serious.
