I am 21 also and haven't had a period now for almost 4 months & not pregnant. Early Dec. I found out I have an underactive thyroid which is called Hypothyroidism. The doc said that could be why I haven't had a period.
but I am thinking it might be an ovarian cyst.

If you are an ahtlete, you may not have periods. Otherwise, there are several medical causes for your problem. Best to have it checked out by a gynecologist. Are you taking the 'pill'? Be sure you still practice birth control.
I don't know what you weigh, but i do know that barring all else, if you are too skinny or have very low body fat your body shuts off your period. This is because it is very unsafe for a developing child if you were to get pregnant without sufficient body fat. For a baby to develop, the mother's body has to have a certain amount of fat on her body. Not saying you can't get pregnant...but more unlikely if you are below a certain percentage of body fat. This is why the "ideal" you see on actresses and models is unhealthy
