Do i have a yeast infection? my vagina starts itching as soon as my period is go!

Question: Probably not. During your cycle, your body has two main hormones- estrogen before ovulation helps lubricate you so that you will be more fertile and progesterone after ovulation dries up your natural fluids. After your period, your estrogen is low and the area is drier. That is why it itches.
I have this pretty much every time. You can buy feminine moisturizers that really help with the itching.

As for the person that claims you should take antibiotics for a yeast infection, that is so wrong. The vagina has a natural balance of good and bad bacteria. Yeast infections occur when too much of the good bacteria is killed and not replaced. Antibiotics often CAUSE yeast. The last thing you want to do is take antibiotics for yeast. A yeast infection is cured with probiotics- that add good bacteria or sometimes antifungals. That is why yogurt with active cultures is recommended.

Fortunately, you sound like you are just experiencing normal hormonal shifts, not a yeast infection.

I get that too sometimes. It really is nothing, just your body switching its usual horomonal gears. Does it go away on its own? Or does it progress on through ovulation and then to your next period. I wouldnt worry about it.

you have to pull out the old tampon before cramin in another one

Yeah. Your period can mess up your PH balance everytime you have a period. It could be a yeast infection or a bacterial infection. You need anti biotics for both. Also, eating yogurt daily helps with yeast. Ask your dr for a vulvar care guide so you can prevent these infections in the future. (sometimes it is soap, or detergent, or even your underwear)

I do the same. It is ok because it is just hormones rebalanceing

You don't take antibiotics for a yeast infection; you have to use antifungal medication. You get this over the counter as a vaginal suppository or from your doctor as an oral pill. However, go to your doctor anyway. Perhaps you have a chronic yeast infection, or may be you have a bacterial infection or an STD.
