Is it safe to do a nose job at the age of 16?!

Question: Your face is still changing when you're 16, so you run the risk of badly "growing into" the new nose.

It is possible to do, but generally not advisable unless what you're having fixed is a respiratory problem. Or if you have something wrong with the nose that you wont grow into regardless, like the nose being too large.

yes, but I would wait until about 22 just to make sure you thave totally stopped growing

No because your bones are still growing and developing.

consult dr.90201

Surely you can't be fully qualified at 16? Probably best to let a surgeon do it.

i got one last year when i was 15
& i'm getting one again this summer

it's totally safe,
but, it depends on your health conditions
& it depends on what your doing to get done
but other then that, i'd say go for it!
everyone girl has the right to be pretty
no matter what it took to get there

This is one of those questions that would be better answerd by your family doctor. Consult with him/her.

from what i know, this isnt exactly the safest cosmetic surgery to pursue at any age. i dont think age really makes a difference with regard to level of risk. however, some ppls faces are not completely developed at this age. as a result, the face can continue growing after the procedure, and the patient is likely to be dissatisfied with the results. my sister (who is now 21), got a nose job at 16. her tip has since dropped, and her bump has returned a bit. she intends on another surgery to correct this in the future.

I had a friend who hada nose job done at 16 because of a large bump on her nose. She hated it and people weren't so nice about at school. She decided to get the plastic surgery done to correct her nose and everything went fine.Talk to a doctor and do it at a time where you have enough time to heal. Not everyne can do it that young though becase you may not be finished growing.

Yes, but you will need parental consent. I would personally recommend waiting until you are at least 18 years old.
