How do you insert an OB tampon?!

OB tampons are my fave...all of these people saying "eww gross, why would you use your finger?" are just ignorant and it shows how uptight people are about the female body and sex in general...that said, first make sure you first wash your hands to prevent infection, this is very important. Unwrap the tampon, pull the string until the end slightly flares out, hold it initially like a pencil, insert, push back with the tip of your finger at the base of the tampon...then just wash your hands...OB tampons have a lot less packaging and produce a lot less waste than all the other tampons on the market...also, they are small enough that you can always keep a few in your makeup bag without them taking up a ton of space, thus you are always prepared...once you get used to them you wont want to use other tampons, especially tampax! (you'll see what i mean)

You do it with your index finger. They're kinda expensive, so I have only used them once.
why try ob and get ur fingers all bloody? use tampax, atleast they have the applicator.
It is messy, I don't like them.

They make tampons with applicators; carboard & plastic.
I find OB a little harder to use and deal with especially in a public bathroom, I'm a germ phobe.
If your worried about the environment , use recycled cardboard applicators instead, OB tampons are just not worth the trouble, plus make sure you REALLY wash your hands before and after you handle the tampon.
with CLEAN hands unwrap the tampon, pull the string and hold the tampon between the thumb and middle finger and with your index finger slowly push up and insert the tampon as far as it will go (about the length of your finger) and be sure that the string is hanging and Ta Da! yay! ^_^

Honestly, they're not worth it unless you're very environment-conscious. Other brands are much more comfortable, and cheaper, too.

When I use Ob I 1St take the tampon and spread open the end(with the string) a little and you also need to pull out the string some because you do not want to fish it out with out a string. Then you place your finger inside the opening you create and gently push it inside. It works really well, very comfortable.
