Very irregular cycle?!

Question: okay.. so i didnt get my first period until a month before my 16th birthday. Then i didn't get my next one until 3 and a half months later. Then i didnt get another one until christmas which was 9 months later. I just want to know, do you think this will last forever.. not ever knowing.. or will it eventually become regular because it has only been a few months.

in case it helps.. i am very skinny... i can eat whatever i want and still be skinny so i dont know if that has anything to do with it. I am like 5'3" and 110 lbs. I am very active with cheerleading 6 days a week and 2 tumbling classes a week.. if that helps.

I also never get any sign of a period coming until i have it. Like no cramps or bloating or back pain or anything like that. I just kind of get it whenever and im afraid that next time i wont expect it.

If this had ever happend to anybody else.. when did it get normal.. if it ever did??

Irregular cycles are not uncommon in young women, especially when they first start menstruation. You have pointed out that you are pretty thin, and pretty active, which could explain the irregularity. This is something you should discuss with a doctor. It's not a big deal, but they might want to run a few tests to rule out any hormonal imbalances. They might also put you on birth control, which can help some women normalize their periods. Talk to your mom, if you feel comfortable, she might have also had this sort of problem, since it tends to run in families.

yuck

You should go to t he doctor and get checked up it could be ur weight.

go see your doctor. that's not normal. it doesn't necessarily mean that somethings wrong, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
