Big Question read all?!

Question: I dance. I am the oldest in my class. We have to change together at competitions. I just got my period. Now I have to wear tampons. My freinds havent wached "the video" yet. How do I avoid them asking questions about the things I bring to the bathroom. Or why wont you change in the same room as us?

There is very little way of them knowing that you are on your period if you don't remove your underwear when you change. (I don't dance so I have no clue if there would be any reason for them to see you totally nude). One thing that I was told recently that is really great advice. "You think that everyone knows that you are on your period, but they don't. The only way that they are going to know is if you tell them."

I would put the tampon in a purse or some kind of bag and just take that in the bathroom with you. If you don't make a big deal out if it, I don't see why anyone else would.

Just tell em' u dont want to talk about it...and if they do want to find out about it so much all they need to do is ask their mother...that right there should do it...hoped i helped!!!

just tell them its personal and u would rather not talk about it---i don't know that they would ask questions anyway---they probly already know about the stuff---kids nowdays know a lot

I'm not sure what 'the video' is but don't worry about it...having a period is something that all women go through at some point....it sounds weird but some of them who haven't gotten their period yet may actually be jealous of you....you will probably not believe me but after a while you'll get to the point where you just don't worry about your period and look at it as just another thing that bonds women together...granted it's a sucky thing but you get the idea...good luck, sweetie! Also a tampon can be easily concealed in your palm (no one has to know) and if you are using tampons there's no reason you can't change with the other girls

Depends how old they are but just tell them that you have your period its nothing to be embarrassed about . If they ask what a period is tell them to go to there mom.

They're all girls? Just tell them. I mean, they'll all have to deal with it eventually.

tell them :mind your own stuff!!
