Answers: why does the uterine lining disitegrates at the end of the menstrual cycle?

During the month the uterus prepares for a baby and grows this wall that is the best for implantation and growing. When the woman does not get pregnant the uterus sheds this lining and then you have your period. It's just the lining of your uterus shedding. Then it starts to grow another lining.

While I do not know for sure, it has to do with the tissue normally shed monthly in response to the hormonal changes of the menstrual period.

Basically, your body told it to happen.

it happens in response to falling progesterone levels in the blood.

The uterus is getting rid of the lining since pregnancy did not occur. That way, the uterus can start fresh and prepare a new lining for a possible pregnancy with the next ovulation.
