It's very effective in preventing pregnancy. But if you just started taking the shot, make sure it is in your system. And don't miss your shot appointments.
Well when I was on the depo shot I and then my husband and I had unprotected sex well we ended up with a baby.
If you and your partner are clear of all STDs, and if everything is monogamous. Otherwise you are at risk of STDs. But you prolly already knew that....
