Why Can't I Stop Eating? Whats Wrong With Me?!


Question: Lately Iv rarely felt full up. I just crave food all the time. Its the first thing I think about when I wake up.
And when I do eat lots of food I feel disgusted with myself and want to throw it up. Im not fat or even overweight?
I have also recently started cutting myself. At first it was just competitive between friends but I found a euphoric rush that started to get addictive.
Please help?

Cutting yourself with friends is fine, but when it stops being a group thing and it develops into a personal habit you might want to take it easy. As for bingeing and purging there normal things teenagers go through, use a toothbrush it makes everything much faster an electric one is best because it feels like sum1 is forcing their hand down ur throat, it could be something you're smoking incidentally that makes you hungry. I recommend u beat yourself with blunt objects rather than cut yourself in the long term because you can blame ur bruises on an abusive family member/rape whereas cutting is a bit obvious and to be honest cliched.

Period? I ALWAYS eat a ton around my period

Maybe you have worms or something...

Maybe you have compulsive eating disorder? There's something behind the compulsive eating--something that makes you want to eat and eat. Go see a specialist or therapist.

Girly, i think you might need to see a doctor about this. The cutting i mean.

The food thing is probably because you have a fast metabolism so food digests faster.

A good thing to do is to stop eating, even when you're not full. You're stomach will shrink after a while of this, and you'll get used to it. I didn't eat much for two days because I had a surgery, and wasn't able to eat as much. It grew back though because I wasn't used to eating so little. :/ (only two days, ya'know?)

Try to think about different things (i know, hard), like a sport you're in, a test that's coming up. You may be thinking about food a lot because you're bored and eating is fun (it is for everybody, lol).

I've wanted to throw food up too, but I never have and I'm glad of it. Get active in a sport, or a club, or whatever if you're not already! You'll get your mind off it somehow. :)

As for the cutting.. I think the only way to get off that, girly, it is quit cold turkey. Thow out all your blade, put scissors in a drawer, and just keep sharp things out of your sight for a while. I hope this helped. :)

Cutting yourself?? That is just sillyness. Come on get ahold of yourslef. And the eating is just a growth spurt. You eat tonz when you go through one. If you feel so discusted with yourself. Eat some fruit and veggies when you feel that hungry. By the way, the cutting yourself...you're in need of a councellor, not our help on yahoo.
