Don't worry about it dear :D It's a natural thing that all girls will have when they grow up.
Sometimes you do get a lot, sometimes you don't.
Usually, it will go away in 3-5 days but it depends on the person.
And if you ever get a cram, you can try to drink some hot drinks that can make you feel better. I hope this help :D

its normal to change more than once in a day . try useing tampons and the mess wont be so much--- : )

the same thing happened to me i asked my mom wat to do and she told me how to insert a tampon(directions are also in the box) and it helped but make shure you do it right if you can feel it when you walk its not right well good luck

You only went through two pads today? Even if they don't get ansty you should change them every couple hours to avoid odars and excess bacteria. Anyway. You can't really do anything to make it lighter you just have to let nature take its course. It'll be lighte ragain in a few days.

This is normal and it'll probably be this way for you. Every woman is different. Mine is alot like that to where it is light at first but the later the day the heavier it gets. Mine only lasts for about 3 days but you could be different. Just keep checking the pad, wear heavy flow pads for sure at nights and when you just start. It'll get light soon before it goes away. Keep track when your periods are because if you go to any doctor they will always ask when your last period was.
GOOD LUCK!!

i also got my first period today..
and i think it has been pretty light all day.
it is normal for you to have a heavy period in your first day.
congrats on becoming a women...

Maybe you should try using tampons (if you can...some people get the dizzies and that's not safe) then the heavy period won't be so right in your face like when you wear a pad. Also before I was on birth control I used to have to change every 3, 4 hours on my heavy days...usually my 2 and 5th day. It's normal to be heavy some days, but if you are going through heavy pads within like an hour that's way too heavy and maybe you should ask your family doctor about it if it keeps happening. Good luck. And really, check out tampons. Once you use them you'll be like, "pads...gross!!!"
