Is it okay to take prenatal vitamins when your not pregnant?!


Question: Ive heard that they make your hair grow and other good things... I assume it doesnt matter if you take them not being pregnant but it wont affect your menstrual cycle or anything like that.. right?

It's absolutely okay! In fact, some of the vitamins/minerals in prenatals (such as folic acid) are recommended for all women of childbearing age.

It won't hurt you, won't do anything magical for you either. They just have extra vitamins that are good to have during pregnancy and lactation.
