Every six months my female retriever has a bleeding cycle?!
Question: By having her fixed, will that eliminate the the bleeding?
Answers: By having her fixed, will that eliminate the the bleeding?
Yes, if you have her fixed, it will stop her heat cycle. However, she may still smell like she is in heat, so male dogs may still come to your house a couple times a year. However, she will not get pregnant. She will also not bleed.
Ask your vet, they will tell you the same thing.
Good luck!!
I dont think it will.. unless dogs are different, b/c when we get our tubes tied, it doesnt stop our periods..
Im not too sure tho so u should ask ur vet.
In dogs, yes that will eliminate their bleeding because they will no longer go into heat. It is something you should definitely consider unless you are going to breed her because the scent attracts other male dogs and it is very difficult to keep them from getting mated in some cases.
this is a female question, are u saying your dog is a human?
