With that many blood clots and irregular periods, it is highly possible that a gyno would put you on pills to regulate you. The side effects of the pill are very little... some people experience a touch of weight gain and a little breakthrough bleeding during the first month, but I have been on the pill for years and have never had an issue. I would talk to your mother, and go see a regular doctor, he can refer you to a gynecologist.

he may. You definatly need to get checked out. The pill may cause sore/tender breasts, bloating, weight gain, mood swings, and a few other things.

GO TO THE DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY....LIKE NOW!!!!!

Tell your parents or guardians that you need to seek medical attention right away. Don't be concerned about taking pills...get to the root of the problem first.

It is pretty common for girls your age to get birth control for troublesome periods. Your doctor will give you a physical, but if you are not sexually active, then many will not give you a papsmear. The pill can cause nausea, headache, breast tenderness, irregular periods, weight gain or loss(about 5 pounds either way), but the side effects usually end within the first three months. Mine only lasted about 2 weeks after I started the pill. Many of the pills reduce bleeding and shorten periods and relieve cramping.

idk but you can have sex wit the pill and not worry bout gettin pregnant tho

well, start by getting that full physical and telling your doctor your symptoms. the pill can be great for regulating your period. you definitely shouldn't have to live with going to the wash room that often or else it begins to control your life so for sure look into the pill and see what other options your doctor can suggest spefically for you. there are different brands of the pill, some heavier doses and others lighter doses, but either way the side effects usually aren't that extreme. if you're on one that doesn't work for your body your doctor can put you on another. but you really need to speak with a doctor about what could be the best solution:)

If this is the case, then you do need to see the gyn. Before prescribing the pill, though, the gyn must first find out the cause of your irregular and heavy periods. The pill cannot be prescribed just because you have bad periods. First the gyn has to perhaps do an ultrasound to see if there is anything going on with your uterus, you might have fibroids or polyps that are causing the clots, heavy periods. Granted, it's not common in your young age, but there is always the possibility.

Have your mom make an appt for you with a gyn.

The side effects of the pill can vary from person to person. What I experienced with the one I'm on isn't necessarily what you would experience. The only way to know how the pill will work for someone is to try it out for at least 3 months.
That being said, again, I will stress to you that the doctor should never prescribe the pill until after certain testing to find out the cause of the problems.

chill ya pill iz fine go to da dr or get xxx tick pads, no tamponds

You sound like you just have heavy periods...it's a bummer, I've had them the whole time too, and I'm 40! But last year I got a procedure done called an "endometrial ablation", where they put a thermal balloon in your uterus and kind of burn it out. It's lightened up my periods by about 2/3. But you are too young for that, because you can't have babies after you have it done. Down the road that might be a good option for you. It's time to see a gynecologist, though...there might be other options he can offer you.

I used to have really irregular periods. They seemed to never stop lol My doctor was going to put me on the birth control pill but he decided to try a different pill instead. Your doctor may try other pills and stuff before he/she gives you the birth control pill. It seems like doctor tend to avoid giving birth control to young girls right away.

If you ask for it they might.
They put me on it at 16 because of very irregular periods.
There aren't many side effects, you might feel sick for a few days to start with, and some people put on weight.
Thats all though, good luck!
