Do women only go to an OB-GYN?!
Question: when they are pregnant or do women who aren't pregnant go as well, or do they have to go to just a gyn? Thanks.

Doctors who specialize in gynecology can opt not to deliver babies- so they will limit their practice to just that. There are also some who limit the practice completely to obstetrics. And then there are those who practice both specialties, refered to as an OB-Gyn doctor. They will usually state which type of practice they run in the ad listing in the white pages. If you are pregnant, you need either an OB or an OB-Gyn. If you are only in need of gynecological care, you would seek out a Gyn or an OB-Gyn. If your doctor limits his/her practice to only gynecology, and you become pregnant, then you would have to find a new doctor. Same as if you have a doctor whose practice is strictly obstetrics, they would not see you for the annual pap smear.
I think a gyn is an ob-gyn. In any event, yes you can see them if you are not PG.
obstetricians are for during and around pregnancy, gynecologists are for female genital health
