Fishy smell???!

Question: ok, i have this really strong fish-like smell, down there. im not pregnant, i don't have sex, and i know that is isnt a yeast infection because i've had one before. it started suddenly this morning, around 11. i'm wondering if it could have anything to do with my period? (supposed to start tomorrow) or something else? if anyone has any home remedies, i'd be super greatful. thanks so much

just have a shower and scrub it pretty good with soap .. wel dont go crazy but enough the odor dissapears.. andd .. wipe really good to .. all ur discharge and stuff.. home remedies i dont really know

Bacterial Vaginitis. See your GYN as soon as possible. This must be treated correctly.

Are you having any yellowish or other colored discharge? That could be the cause. Go to a doctor. It could be an infection.

yes, prob bcuz your going to start your period.

It's BV.. Bacterial Vaginosis.
U need to take antibiotics for it.
It's not an STD or does not mean ur dirty, it just means ur body creates an extra bacteria that causes discharge and smelly fishy odor.
U need to see ur gyno, they will prob prescribe Metronidazole.

GOOD LUCK

It sounds like your period....I know douching with a vinegar and water solution usually helps...but, the dilemma would be douching that close to your cycle

This might just be an anomaly for you. Take a shower (instead of a bath) and clean as you normally would. If this condition does not clear up within a week after your period then I would consult your GYN/MD (I would describe it is a foul odor instead of a fishy smell).

You could have a mild bacterial infection.

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva
