How many calories are you suppose to eat to keep healthy or lose weight?!

There's a formula, but I just put in my information here http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/caloriesneed.htm and it gave me how many calories I burn a day. In order to maintain your weight you eat that amount. To lose weight you have to eat less than you burn. It's typically healthy to eat 500 less in order to lose about a pound a week (and it helps keep the weight off). 1500 cals a day to lose weight is the average, but you can get your specifics.
well to tell you the truth it doesnt matter how many calories you eat... everyone is different.... if you have been medium sized your whole life eat regularly, like a large breakfast, small lunch like a sandwhich, ans a small dinner, (meat, veggy, water)
